Invest in Türkiye Forum 2024 – A Day of Strategic Dialogue and Partnership Building

On 17 October 2024, EEL Events hosted the annual Invest in Türkiye Forum at the Conrad London St. James and the UK Houses of Parliament, bringing together industry peers to discuss the future of Türkiye’s investment landscape and the growing Türkiye–UK trade partnership. The event was Co-Hosted by Invest in Türkiye: Republic of Türkiye Investment Office.

The forum opened with Alderman Professor Emma Edhem, Chairman of the TBCCI Board, followed by a keynote address from H.E. Ambassador O. Koray Ertaş, the Turkish Ambassador to the UK, who underlined Türkiye’s role as a regional hub for trade, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions across key themes:

• Türkiye’s Investment Outlook: Business leaders from Kale Group, Invest in Türkiye, and Pekin & Pekin explored macroeconomic shifts, sectoral growth potential, and investor confidence shaping the Turkish economy.
• Strengthening the Türkiye–UK Trade and Investment Bridge: Representatives from UKEF, the UK Department for Business and Trade, and the IoD Türkiye Working Group shared insights into market access, bilateral trade growth, and investment incentives between the two countries.
• Private Equity & M&A in Türkiye: Industry experts from Truffle Capital, e2vc, TFO Investments, and Gide discussed evolving deal trends, regulatory updates, and investor strategies in a rapidly shifting market.

The afternoon programme at the Houses of Parliament continued with remarks from Alderman Professor Emma Edhem and Virendra Sharma MP, highlighting the importance of deepening UK–Türkiye economic ties.

Subsequent sessions focused on Financing Trends and Capital Access, featuring insights from JP Morgan, KfW IPEX-Bank, DZ Bank, and Derbentli Consulting, followed by an in-depth discussion on Investment Hotspots in Energy, Infrastructure and Technology, led by EBRD, Societe Generale, Actis, NAZALI Tax & Legal, and Redshaw Advisors.
