The Southeast Europe Private Equity and M&A Forum wrapped up on June 10th in Belgrade — and what a day it was! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for a full day of thoughtful conversations, valuable insights, and meaningful connections.
The event was chaired by Mirna Marović, President of CVCA and Managing Director of VentureXchange, who guided us through a packed agenda featuring some of the region’s top voices in investment, finance, and dealmaking.
We kicked off the morning with an engaging panel:
● “Driving the Energy Transition and Infrastructure Modernization through Cross-Border M&A” — A forward-looking discussion on how sustainable investments and regional cooperation are shaping infrastructure development, featuring insights from IFC, Amber Infrastructure, Actis, and CWP Global.
● “M&A Sentiment and Readiness in Southeast Europe” — A regional deep-dive into current deal appetite, investor confidence, and regulatory climate, with perspectives from Forvis Mazars, Hemofarm / FIC Serbia, BlackPeak Capital, and FIPA (BiH).
After a coffee and networking break, we moved into tech-driven topics and highly relevant sector spotlight:
● Datasite Fireside Chat – “Smart Tools for Smart Deals: The Role of AI in Unlocking M&A Efficiency” — A conversation on how artificial intelligence and digital platforms are transforming the speed and precision of deal execution.
● “TMT M&A: Navigating Opportunities and Challenges in a Dynamic Landscape” — A look at the rapidly evolving tech, media, and telecom space, featuring strategic and legal insights from EBRD, PPF, A1 Serbia / FIC Serbia, BNP Paribas, and Karanović & Partners.
In the afternoon, two high-impact panels rounded out the day:
● “Effective M&A Strategies for Growth” — This session focused on key success factors in scaling businesses through acquisitions, with actionable takeaways from Forvis Mazars, Accession Capital Partners, MK Group / FIC Serbia, Kearney, MidEuropa, and Fifth Quarter Ventures.
● “Industry-Specific Consolidations” — A closer look at how targeted consolidation is shaping sectors across SEE, including consumer goods, logistics, and manufacturing. Speakers included Enterprise Investors, Nelt Group, CEECAT Capital, and Provectus Capital Partners, with moderation by Mirna Marović.
A special thank you to our sponsors: Forvis Mazars and Datasite and big thanks to our Event Partners: FIC Serbia, British Serbian Chamber of Commerce, CVCA & VentureXchange, FIC Macedonia, FIPA, and SEENews — we deeply appreciate your collaboration and engagement.
We hope the forum gave you fresh insights, sparked new connections, and left you with plenty to think about. Until next time — thank you again for being part of it!
