OVERVIEW OF THE EVENT

Step inside the hub where today’s ideas ignite tomorrow’s opportunities.

Türkiye is entering a transformative decade in its clean energy journey. With more than 32 GW of storage-linked renewable license applications, rapidly expanding industrial self-consumption, and the emergence of large hybrid solar-plus-storage projects, the market is accelerating at unprecedented speed.
The Türkiye Solar + Storage Investment Forum brings together developers, financiers, manufacturers, regulators, and technology providers to explore where the most compelling opportunities lie—and how to convert today’s momentum into tomorrow’s bankable projects. This year’s programme focuses on the real commercial shifts driving the sector: regulatory clarity, innovative financing models, industrial decarbonisation, supply chain localisation, and the technologies that will define the next era of flexibility and energy security.
HOT TOPICS:
  • Navigating Türkiye’s storage linked licensing landscape
  • Designing bankable hybrid solar + storage projects
  • Industrial solar + storage adoption for self-consumption & CBAM compliance
  • Scaling local manufacturing and supply chains for batteries, inverters, and BESS
  • Long-duration storage & hydrogen for regional energy security

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

PROGRAMME AGENDA

The topics listed below are for general guidance only and will form the basis of the final agenda. The finalized agenda will be confirmed closer to the event, and session times and details are subject to change.

09:30 – 10:00 | Registration & Networking Coffee

Opening Remarks

A look at Türkiye’s rapidly evolving solar + storage landscape and the opportunities ahead for domestic and international investors.

SESSION 1

THE STORAGE WAVE IN TÜRKİYE: MARKET OUTLOOK, LICENSING & INVESTMENT SIGNALS Türkiye is rapidly emerging as a leading energy storage market, driven by fast-growing renewables and a regulatory model that links batteries to new generation licences. This session reviews the surge in licence applications, the evolving policy environment, and what it takes to convert permits into operational, grid-connected projects. Speakers will explore grid capacity challenges, future flexibility needs, and the risk considerations that shape global investor appetite. The discussion provides a clear overview of the commercial and technical forces defining Türkiye’s storage boom.

SESSION 2

UTILITY-SCALE HYBRID PROJECTS: DESIGNING & FINANCING BANKABLE SOLAR + STORAGE ASSETS Hybrid solar-plus-storage projects are becoming central to Türkiye’s renewable expansion. This session covers the design, engineering, and financing of large hybrid assets, highlighting system configuration, EPC selection, battery sizing, and technology impacts on performance and risk. Speakers also explore financing strategies, revenue streams, and lender due diligence, providing a clear roadmap for turning hybrid concepts into bankable projects.

12:00 – 12:30 | Networking Break

SESSION 3

SOLAR + STORAGE FOR INDUSTRY: CBAM COMPLIANCE, SELF-CONSUMPTION & BEHIND-THE-METER SYSTEMS

Rising energy prices, grid constraints, and EU CBAM pressures are accelerating industrial demand for solar-plus-storage in Türkiye. This session explores how major manufacturers are using behind-the-meter batteries to cut peak costs, boost self-consumption, and secure traceable green power for export. It also reviews corporate PPAs, energy-as-a-service models, industrial microgrids, and tailored financing solutions, highlighting why C&I storage has become one of Türkiye’s fastest-growing and most attractive market segments.

14:00-14:30 | Lunch & Networking

SESSION 4

LOCAL MANUFACTURING & SUPPLY CHAIN SCALE-UP: BATTERIES, INVERTERS & SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Türkiye is emerging as a regional hub for energy system manufacturing. This session explores opportunities to develop a domestic supply chain for storage technologies, including battery packs, containerised BESS, inverters, power electronics, and energy management software. Speakers discuss industrial gaps, localisation potential, strategies for attracting international partners, certification, testing standards, and quality assurance. Insights are provided for manufacturers considering Türkiye as a production base.

SESSION 5

LONG-DURATION STORAGE, HYDROGEN & TÜRKİYE’S REGIONAL ENERGY SECURITY STRATEGY

The forum concludes with a forward-facing look at the technologies and strategies that will define Türkiye’s long-term energy transition. With plans for multi-gigawatt electrolyser capacity and growing interest in long-dura tion storage, the conversation uncovers how Türkiye can integrate seasonal storage, support industrial hydrogen production, and play a pivotal role in regional energy corridors across the Black Sea, Southeast Europe, and MENA. Speakers explore how flexible clean energy strengthens national energy security and what types of policy, investment, and infrastructure will be required to unlock the next chapter of Türkiye’s renewable evolution.

16:30 – 16:40 | Closing Remarks

16:40 – 18:00 | Networking Reception & Investor–Developer Matchmaking
