2th Baltic and Nordic Energy Summit 2021, which took place on 27-28 May virtually bringing together 140 energy stakeholders who came to debate the increasingly interconnected Nordic and Baltic energy markets, the future policy framework and investment opportunities in both regions. The programme included thought-provoking discussions around Nordic and Baltic energy systems integration in gas and electricity sectors together with the latest developments in renewable energy and hydrogen topics.
The event was officially opened with greetings by Laura Huomo, Energy and Capital Markets Counsel, Roschier – Chairwoman of many years to the Forum. The welcoming remarks were delivered by Timo Tatar, Deputy Secretary-General, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Estonia.
During two days, several keynote presentations and engaging roundtables provoked fruitful exchange among participants. Among others, Eric CHAFFARD, Global Segment Director Wind at Schneider Electric delivered the presentation on “Data is the new Gold” and “Renewable energy sales models” we examined by Esmeralda Balode-Buraka, Attorney At Law, Rödl & Partner.
