He is also the Board Member of HESİAD and The Chairman of the Board of Directors of GÜYAD since 2017.

Cem Aşık acting as the General Manager of Sanko Energy fulfilled the roles of energy trading, strategic business development and government relations, before establishing the Energy Unit of Rengo Consultancy which focuses on investment strategies, sustainable business models, risk processes, efficiency and automation security.
He is the chairman of Electricity Producers Association (EÜD) and Board Member (former Chairman) of Energy Traders Association (etd). He is also an active member of the committees of leading institutions.
Cem Aşık fulfilled several high executive roles in IT and telecommunications industries.
Cem Asik graduated from Hacettepe University Computer Sciences and Engineering Department and studied MBA in the Middle East Technical University, in Ankara.

Hasan Hepkaya graduated from Hacettepe University Department of Business Administration. Starting his professional career at Garanti Leasing in 2003, Hepkaya assumed various titles at TSKB under Corporate Banking and Project Finance Departments between 2005 and 2014. Hepkaya acted as the Manager of the Project Finance and Corporate Banking Departments between 2014 and 2018, respectively. Dr. Guest (Ph.D., Geology) has been working internationally in the oil and gas industry for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Valeura, he was the CEO of two private junior companies. Bukit Energy is a Calgary-based startup focused on Indonesia, and Pexco Energy holds production and exploration assets in Australia-Asia region and East Africa. During his tenure, Pexco was producing ~10,000 boepd from its assets in Indonesia and Australia. While running Pexco, he resided in Jakarta, Indonesia and oversaw the company's first operated development of an oil field in Sumatra. The company also expanded their gas production in Australia with the development of a new offshore gas field and upgrades and debottlenecking of the associated onshore gas plant. Prior to his CEO roles, he also worked for Woodside in Australia and Libya, and for Shell in the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia. He started his career with Schlumberger working in Egypt

After graduating from Robert College, Korkut Öztürkmen received double major degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
In 1996, he joined Koç Holding's Strategic Planning Department to work in business and strategy development in the energy sector. He took part in the development, financing and implementation of many strategic projects with international partnerships including privatization tenders of the period in production, distribution and sales value chains in electricity, natural gas and oil sectors. Meanwhile, in 2002, he completed the Executive MBA program at Koç University.

In 2007; he joined OMV as the company's Country Manager for Turkey to lead the market entry activities covering Nabucco natural gas pipeline, natural gas wholesale, natural gas storage, power generation business units. Subsequently, he assumed responsibility of OMV’s power business as General Manager and Board Member. He managed the development, construction, operation and electricity sales operations of the 890 MW Samsun Combined Cycle Natural Gas Power Plant with an investment exceeding 600 million euros. At the same time, in order to diversify its production portfolio, the company also worked on renewable energy project development.

In 2013, he completed the Power2Lead ’senior leadership program’ at Ashridge Business School in the UK.

Following OMV's decision to leave the electricity business globally in 2018, he took an active role in the company's sales project.

Mr Öztürkmen recently joined IC Holding as the Energy Group President leading company’s power generation, trading and distribution assets. He also serves as the Vice President of the Electricity Producers Association and chairs working groups on electricity generation from natural gas, capacity mechanism and energy storage.

Korkut Öztürkmen is married and has a daughter.

Sule Topcu KilicSule Topcu Kilic

Deputy Head, EBRD, Turkey

Deputy Director for Turkey at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Sule Kilic has over 21 years of experience working on a variety of projects in project finance, financial advisory, M&A, private quity, bank acquisition. Before joining the EBRD in June 2012 Sule has spent five years at Unicredit Group, most recently as Managing Director leading project finance activities for the Investment Banking Platform in Turkey.
Prior to Unicredit, Sule held an array of Directorships and Vice Presidencies in project and structured finance, private equity in organisation such as Bayerische Hypo und Vereinsbank (Istanbul), Garanti Bank (Istanbul), and CitiBank (Istanbul). Sule is a Turkish national with a PhD in Finance from Boğaziçi University, a Master’s degree from Manchester School of Management (UMIST) and BSc in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.

Born in 1973, Tamer ÇALIŞIR obtained his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 1996 and his Executive MBA degree from Koç University in 2010. He worked for Aygaz, Zorlu Energy and Slovenian trade company GEN-I doo in Energy Sector. Tamer ÇALIŞIR joined GAMA family in 2013 and in 2017 he was appointed as GAMA Enerji Managing Director and Chairman of all international and domestic company owned subsidiaries. Çalışır also holds President of Energy Trade Association title for two consecutive years and he is a Board Member of Electric Generators Association.

Taylan G. Önerci is currently Director of Investments of TOYA Holding, which is active in mining, construction and tourism sectors. He has extensive experience in energy and healthcare sectors, as business developer and strategist. His experience comprehends project financing, BOT – PPP models, privatization and M&A. He has been involved in many investment projects at Turkey/MENA and CIS regions.

Taylan G. Önerci holds B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University and continues Executive MBA for Eurasia program by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

Yasemin KuytakYasemin Kuytak

Yasemin Kuytak has been working at KfW IPEX-Bank’s Representative Office in Turkey since 2009 and became the Director of the Office in August 2018. In addition to her expertise in covering financings in several different sectors, she closely followed the ECA covered financings of KfW IPEX Bank in the energy sector. Before joining KfW IPEX-Bank, Yasemin worked at as a Credit Manager for 7 years.
Yasemin holds a Master of Business Administration degree with finance and entrepreneurship concentrations from Ball State University, Indiana, USA. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Business Administration from Istanbul University. She also studied at University of Virginia’s College at Wise, USA as a part of a one year student exchange program.

Yusuf Bahadır Turhan was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1982. He graduated from Ankara Ataturk Anatolian High School in 2000 as valedictorian while ranking first in the National University Entrance Exam same year. He received his BSc degree from Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2004 as salutatorian. Later, he continued his Electrical Engineering education at Stanford University with full scholarship. During his graduate work, Mr. Turhan focused on solid-state electronics and RF Circuit Design in Ginzton Laboratory. After receiving his MSc degree in 2006, he worked as a design engineer in ASELSAN A.Ş., the biggest defense sector company of Turkey, for more than 4 years. Leaving ASELSAN in 2010, he founded and bootstrapped YBT Energy believing in the future of humanity on our planet depends solely on renewables. Since then, he designs, licenses and realizes renewable energy power plants. He is the proud owner of six hydroelectric and solar power plants in operation in Turkey. His most recent investment, the Hamal SPP in Sivas, which is one of the very few licensed SPPs in Turkey, received the prestigious Gold Standard certification. With YBT Energy, he also spearheads the development of new geothermal, wind and biomass power plants in Turkey.

He took his first step towards solar energy in 2008 working in Asunim in Madrid. For 3 years he was responsible for Asunim's Southern European market. In 2012 he founded Asunim Turkey together with Andreas Schünhoff. As a co-founder of Solentegre Enerji (the first licensed PV system of Turkey), DCPV (Portuguese EPC), Maxima Energy (Leading o&m provider in Turkey), Asunim Dubai and Asunim Egypt, Umut has over 700 MW of global PV experience and speaks five languages actively.
